Inspiring sustainability. Dubuque2.0 is a venue where sustainable ideas are presented, best practices are shared, and results from the community's efforts are measured.

Much like Envision 2010, Dubuque2.0 is a process that encourages public/private partnerships to shape our community's future.

With this initiative, Dubuque is taking a unique approach by supplying people with the tools and information necessary to measure and manage their utilization. With this knowledge people will be empowered to make educated choices to change behavior, reducing their costs and identifying long-lasting sustainable opportunities.

Dubuque2.0 will build on the city's existing sustainability plan by combining the strengths of our community with new opportunities in our future aimed at making our community economically prosperous, socially and culturally vibrant, and improving our environmental integrity. Dubuque2.0 will use this site as one of many tools to engage businesses, schools, non-profits, and neighborhoods in a comprehensive sustainability process. The process will offer opportunities where all may learn and choose to take action to save money and resources, open new markets, reduce our impact on the planet, and improve the competitiveness of the community. To promote and showcase our community successes, everyone will have the opportunity to share their efforts and results, encouraging local best practices and new ideas.
